Gumtree South Africa Study Fund 2024

The Gumtree website was launched by Simon Crookall and Michael Pennington in March 2000 as a local classified ads website whereby communities in various countries could communicate and stay connected.

The website was designed with the intention of connecting people from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa who had just moved to London and needed help getting set up with accommodation, employment and even meeting a few friends.
